The ASAA offers two main membership levels in addition
to an Affiliate and Associate membership.
Accredited Member: An individual with current full-time or part-time agricultural
or agriculture-related experience who possesses a sound working knowledge
of the livestock and/or farm equipment industry. Individuals with prior
agriculture-related experience also may qualify.
Senior Appraiser: An accredited member who has successfully completed ASAA's
Professional Appraisal Seminars and meets the AQB Personal Property Appraisers Minimum Qualification
Criteria. Senior Appraiser members must
meet the Appraisal Qualification Board (AQB) continuing education requirements
every five years in order to retain Senior Appraiser status.
Associate Member: An
individual who does not have the practical experience necessary to qualify
as an accredited member, but has the desire to enter the livestock and/or
farm equipment appraisal profession, and is committed to attend the ASAA
Professional Appraisal Education Courses.
Affiliate Member: A
member who is not interested in becoming an appraiser, but has a business-related
interest in the appraisal field such as bankers, insurance agents, attorneys,
etc.
